The War

The War is the conflict and story arc of the 4400. It was first mentioned by Maia at the end of White Light. It can be seen as the war between the People from the Future faction which returned the 4400 and the Brutal and Powerful Elite which want history to remain unchanged, or between the 4400 and forces opposing them. Jordan Collier refered to the war as being "between good and evil."

Jordan Collier telepathically told Gary Navarro that "we're in a war here. Don't choose the losing side." Dennis Ryland told Tom that "some people think you're fighting a war here."

Jordan Collier wrote the sentence "The war for the future will be fought in the past." several times in his journal. In a television interview, he explains what he meant by that.

Commercials at the end of the third season mentioned that there were only two episodes left, and one war to fight.
